Lab members participated in two pre-conference workshops:
International Symposium: GeoAnalytics for Sustainable and Livable Cities – highlighting cutting-edge research and applications of geospatial analytics for building sustainable, resilient, and livable urban environments.
GeoAI & Resilience Workshop – exploring the intersection of artificial intelligence, geospatial data, and resilience applications.
Our team delivered three research presentations during ICC 2025:
Dr. Heng Cai presented two talks:
From Seismic Signals to Urban Sensing: Leveraging Ambient Seismic Noise to Sense Human Activity Disruptions in Extreme Weather Events
Mapping Healthcare Facility Resilience During Hurricane Beryl Using Cellphone Location Data
Ph.D. student Hao Tian presented:
Human Responses to Extreme Heat Through the Lens of Human Mobility: A Multiple Scales Study Across the United States
These presentations showcased the Lab’s interdisciplinary research, integrating geospatial data, seismic sensing, and mobility analytics to better understand human–environment interactions and to enhance resilience against environmental hazards.
