Congratulations to Nazmoon Nahar Sumiya for passing the Ph.D. prelim exam!

We are delighted to announce that Nazmoon Nahar Sumiya, a Ph.D. student in the GIResilience Lab, has successfully passed her preliminary examination on October 8, 2025.

Her dissertation research, titled “Integrating Large-Scale Geospatial and Community-Based Data to Assess the Health Impacts of Environmental Hazards,” highlighted her innovative integration of geospatial analytics and community-based data to better understand and quantify environmental health impacts.
