Congratulations to Hao Tian for passing the Ph.D. prelim exam!

We are delighted to share that Hao Tian, a Ph.D. student in the GIResilience Lab, has successfully passed his preliminary examination on October 17, 2025.

His dissertation research, titled “Integrating Social and Seismic Sensing: Multi-Source Insights into Urban Human Dynamics,” presents a novel framework that bridges social sensing data with seismic sensing to reveal hidden patterns of urban dynamics, behavioral rhythms, and resilience under environmental stressors.
