Dr. Heng Cai presented the work on 'Compounding effects of natural hazards and pandemics: a case study of winter storm Uri and Covid-19 in Texas' in the AAG week at Denver, CO in March, 2023.

She was also a session chair, “Leveraging Geospatial Technologies to Improve Climate Resilience”, and an organizing committee member for the “Symposium on Geospatial Approaches to Pressing Grand Challenges: Global Health Pandemics, Climate Change, and Food Security”.
